“I moved to Vermont in 1988 and lived there for 32 years before moving just over the border into Massachusetts. Since arriving, my most recurring subject has been Stickney Brook (near Brattleboro). I’ve done about nine oil paintings, perhaps the same number of watercolors and one linocut print. That print was ten years ago.

This new print was done using three blocks which printed interlocking images of some significant complexity. The cascades of the brook cut through granite slabs which stair-step down the narrow gorge. Thin pools of clear water give way to white water falls that tumble from the edge of each stair. The dry granite and surrounding ground are covered with the multicolor blanket of autumn leaves. To see more about the making of this print take a look at my blog post.

This handmade print is made with oil based, fine art printers inks on Stonehenge, 100 percent rag paper. It is titled, numbered and signed in pencil below the image area. The full size of the sheet is 14" x 11”.
