Elisabeth has been an oil painter for 20 years. She enjoys still life and portrait painting in the comfort of her studio, but really feels inspired by the challenges of Pleinair.
Growing up on a family farm, she is fond of agricultural scenes complete with a variety of animals.
Because she’s been a navy spouse her entire adult life, she’s always lived near the coast and loves to paint waterways.
She’s also a sucker for a dilapidated garden shed overgrown with flowers.
Beautiful, vibrant color and the right play of light to shadow are most important to an engaging painting.
